Yes, currently the application form for the Competition Authority of Kenya (CAK) is out and you can participate by completing the job application form at www.cak.go.ke.

The one (1) year internship programme is open to all interested candidates across Kenya counties who meets the key requirements spelt out such as graduating from a University, Polytechnic or College and not employed.

Another thing is that, you must not be a beneficiary of any other government empowerment programme or must have had a formal employment before.

The key functional areas where CAK internship programme focuses for this year are; Enforcement & Compliance, Consumer Protection, Corporation Secretary and Legal Services, Finance, Human Resource and Administration etc.

Qualifications Needed

Applicants must be a graduate from a recognized university possessing a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

Accepted discipline of study are; Economics, Law, Business Administration, Accounting or Finance, Commerce, Human Resource Management etc.

Note that this depends on the department you’re applying for but if you’re a graduate of any of the above discipline then you can apply.

General Requirements

  • Applicant must be a Kenya citizen with verifiable means of Identification issue by the Government.
  • He or she must possess clearance certificates from all the relevant bodies.
  • If you had benefited from CAK Youth Professionals, Internship or Attachment programs then you’re not allowed to apply.
  • Candidate applying must be between the ages of 18 – 35 years. Those above the specified dates are not eligible to apply.
