Ministry of Labour Hiring Specialist Nurses (July 2024)

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection has announced open vacancies for specialist nurses. This is in commiseration with Ministry of Health of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ongoing recruitment.

The Government of Kenya in collaboration with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) seeks to promote productive labour migration among the two countries.

The initiative has helped thousands of Kenyans in diverse economic sections in Saudi Arabia and is currently recruiting more health care workers from Kenya.

Sequel to this, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection is inviting applications from suitably qualified health care professionals in Kenya for the position of Specialist Nurses.

Requirements Needed

• Be a female Kenyan citizen under 45 years old and medically fit.
• Hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or a Diploma in Nursing-Midwifery from the European Union (minimum 3 years post-secondary school).
• Be a registered and licensed member in good standing with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
• Possess a valid Kenyan passport and Police Clearance Certificate.
• Have experience in patient care in hospital settings such as inpatient, ER, or ICU.
• Be proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Have valid Prometric test results; if not, the test can be taken either in Kenya or KSA (cost to be deducted from salary in three installments).
• Have a Data Flow Verification report for the education certificate, Nursing Council license, or latest employment certificate.

Terms of Employment

• Period of Contract: One (1) year, renewable
• Salary: Minimum of 4,110.00 SAR basic salary plus an additional 295 SAR for each year of experience
• Work Hours: 8 hours/day
• Paid Annual Vacation: Includes a free round-trip economy ticket
• Overtime: In accordance with Saudi Arabia Labour Laws
