Eligibility Criteria for ADC Jobs 2024

Requirements for ADC Recruitment 2024
The role specific requirements are as follows:
1. Research Officer II
Research Officer II will work under Crop Research conducting field trials, analyze crop factors, compile data, produce and promote seeds, and prepare research reports.
To qualify for this role, ensure you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related fields from a recognized institution.
- Proficiency in computer applications and data analysis.
2. Principal Engineer (Agriculture)
This person occupying this role will manage engineering projects, conducts feasibility assessments, designs and oversees agricultural engineering structures, ensures maintenance, and leads technical training and research activities for innovative agricultural solutions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 9 years of experience, with 3 years as Senior Engineer (Agriculture) or similar roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering.
- Registration with the Engineers Board of Kenya and valid practicing license.
- Membership in the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK).
- Proficiency in computer applications.
3. Principal Agricultural Officer
This officer shall oversee crop production programs, analyzes crop performance data, ensures efficient farm input utilization, coordinates agricultural technologies, manages pest control, and promotes climate resilience in farming while training stakeholders and preparing technical reports.
Qualifications:
- At least 9 years of experience, 3 in a Senior Agricultural Officer or equivalent role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related disciplines from a recognized institution.
- Completed a 4-week management course.
- Expertise in crop production, data analysis, and computer proficiency.
4. Agricultural Officer I
The Agricultural Officer I supports crop data collection and analysis, oversees agricultural staff and performance targets, advises on crop development, implements pest and disease controls, disseminates farming technologies, and prepares technical and administrative reports.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years’ experience as Agricultural Officer II or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related disciplines from a recognized institution.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
