Qualifications for Canonical Recruitment 2024
Due a large number of expected application, candidates applying for the job vacancies will be selected based on the following:
1. Distributed Systems Software Engineer, Python / Go
- This role requires a strong background and experience in Python or Go programming
- Applicant must having a practical knowledge of continuous integration tools such as GitHub CI, CircleCI, Jenkins
- Candidate must have a solid understanding of Linux architecture
- You must be capable of of traveling for 2 – 4 weeks internationally per year
2. Linux Desktop Support Associate
- You need to be a Bachelor’s Degree holder in technical field
- Linux knowledge including the installation, troubleshooting and basic configuration of recent Ubuntu Desktop releases is required
- Candidate applying must know the basic troubleshooting (collecting logs, basic fine-tuning by editing configuration files)
- Applicant must have an understanding of Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Applications, and Single Sign-On
- He/she must be fluent in Verbal and Written English skills, and willing to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
3. Software Engineer (Linux/Python or Go) – Container Images
- Candidate applying must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- You must possess skills which range from those of a Graduate to a mid-senior Software Engineer
- Mastering at least one container management/orchestration tool (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) is necessary
- A past experience of working with CI/CD systems (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Concourse CI, etc.) will be needed for this role
- Applicant must significant have an experience with Python and/or Go
4. Golang System Software Engineer – Containers / Virtualisation
- You must have a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
- Experience in programing Go and C are expected from applicant
- Candidate must have a knowledge in networking and storage technologies.
- You must have experience with two or more of: cloud computing, virtualisation, containers, distributed systems, open source community
