About Kilifi County Public Service Board

- Create and dissolve positions within the county public service.
- Appoint individuals to serve in county public service roles, including positions in city and urban area boards, and confirm their appointments.
- Oversee disciplinary actions and remove individuals serving in these roles as outlined in this section.
- Compile and submit periodic reports to the county assembly on the Board’s activities and functions.
- Uphold and promote the values and principles outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 within the County Public Service.

1. Assistant Community Development Officer III
- Candidate applying for this position must have a Diploma in either Community Development, Project Development/Management, Social Work, Sociology, Social Development, Psychology, Gender and Development, Counseling, etc. or an equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution.
- Possess a certificate in computer applications.
2. Fireman III
- Applicants for fireman III are requested to possess a First Aid Certificate from a course lasting at least one (1) week, issued by St. John’s Ambulance, Kenya Institute of Highways and Technology (KIHBT), or any other recognized institution.
- Applicant must be physically and mentally fit.
- He or she shall provide medical certification of fitness from a government doctor.
3. Assistant Fisheries Officer III
- Applicant must hold a diploma in Fisheries Management, Natural Resource Management, or an equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
- Possess a certificate in computer applications.
4. Fisheries Officer
- As fishery officer, applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries, Zoology, Aquatic Sciences, Natural Resource Management, Biochemistry, Food Sciences and Technology, Environmental Sciences, etc. or an equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Possess a certificate in computer applications.
5. Assistant Agricultural Officer
- Attain a mean grade of C- in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent.
- Having a Diploma in Agriculture, Food Technology, Agriculture and Home Economics, Agricultural Education, Horticulture, or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution is mandatory.
6. Agricultural Officer
- Qualifying for this position requires you have a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Home Economics, Agriculture, Horticulture, Natural Resource Management, Agribusiness, Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Education, Agriculture and Enterprise Development, or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
