The aim of this internship program set up by Murang’a County government is to enable graduates from university, Polytechnic, College etc. have the opportunity to gain necessary work experience and skill to increase their readiness and chances for employment.

The government of the county seeks to employ 390 interns into various departments of the Public Service Board. This positions includes:

• ECDE teachers (200 interns)
• Nurses (70 interns)
• Instructors at Vocational Training Center (50 interns)
• Medical Laboratory Technologist (20 interns)
• Counsellor (1 interns)
• Quantity Surveyors (4 interns)

Educational Qualification for Muranga Internship

It is important you understand the different educational degree and certifications required for the above vacancies. According to the county government, interested candidates with Certificate Diploma, Degree etc. in discipline relevant to the vacancies announced can apply.

Requirements, Competence, Skills

Murang’a internship application form is free but meeting the requirements is mandatory. Below are the key criteria apart from educational qualifications applicant must possess.

• First is that you must be a Kenyan citizen with a valid means of identification such as National ID card or international passport.
• Next is that, you will provide a recommendation letter from the institution you graduated.
• Being ICT inclined and possessing good interpersonal and communication skill is an added advantage.
• You will provide only the originals of all your certifications includes certificate of good conduct.
• Very importantly, you must have a criminal free record.
• Candidates that are currently employed or exited any form of formal employment are not allowed to apply.
• Candidates above the age of 35 years are not permitted to apply.

Muranga County Intern Stipend

I understand that apart from work experience and skills to be gained, stipend is one of the things that motivates applicants for internship program.

The salary range is not static for all positions, it is based on qualification.

Candidates applying with certificates are paid monthly stipend of Sh. 10,000, those with Diploma are paid Sh. 15,000, and those with Degree are paid Sh. 20,000.
