Senior Legal Officer, Member Audit Committee, Chairperson Audit Committee, Programme Officer I, Finance Officer I, Assistant Office Administrator II, Driver II, Human Resource Management Officer I, Principal Administration Officer, Principal Accountant, Senior Human Resource Management Officer, Assistant Director for Research etc.

Fundamentally, to qualify for any of these job opportunities you must have a valid identification document like National ID then meet the requirement of Chapter six (6) of the constitution.

1. Senior Legal Officer

An officer at this level may be assigned to any of the following functional areas: Legal, Complaints and Investigations, or Redress.

Requirements

  • Served as a Legal Officer I or in a comparable and relevant position for at least three (3) years.
  • Holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized institution.
  • Admitted to the bar as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
  • Possesses at least six (6) years of demonstrable litigation experience, particularly in constitutional, human rights, criminal, family, and succession law.
  • Successfully completed a Senior Management course at a recognized institution.
  • Is an active member of a relevant professional body.
  • Complies with the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills.
  • Exhibits merit and capability as evidenced by work performance and results.

2 Member Audit Committee

To get appointed for this role, below are the requirements you must meet.

  • Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Finance/Accounting option), Business Administration (Finance/Accounting option), or a related field from a university recognized in Kenya.
  • Attained professional certification as a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
  • Is a member in good standing with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
  • Has at least five (5) years of experience in Accounting or Auditing, or has served in a reputable organization.
  • Demonstrates excellent knowledge of audit committee functions and risk management frameworks.
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of relevant legislation, best practices, and emerging trends in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Risk Management, Human Resources, Procurement, and related fields.
  • Is proficient in the use of computer applications.
  • Has a sound understanding of government operations and financial management systems.
  • Exhibits proven professional competence and administrative ability as reflected in work performance and results.

3. Programme Officer I

This position entails that you will be assisting in orchestrating strategies for gender mainstreaming. In addition to this, you will as well be developing work plans and budget.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must have served already as Programmes Officer II for at least 3 years, have first degree in either Gender and Development, Economics, Development Studies, Human Rights etc., be an ICT inclined person.

4. Finance Officer I

As finance officer, you will be part of the annual budget preparation team as well as its allocation for maximum utilization.

A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, and Business Administration etc. is needed for this position. Candidate applying must have also served as Finance officer II for 3 years. Been a member of professional body as it relates to your discipline is necessary and you must understand how computerized financial management system works.

5. Assistant Office Administrator II

You will be responsible for typing manuscripts, processing date and managing office equipment’s as well as taking care of visitors.

Requirements

This position demands that you have a Diploma in Secretarial studies from KNEC, be knowledgeable in ICT, and must have studied either Business English, Office Practice, Office Management etc.

6. Driver II

Your duty will be driving assigned vehicles, observing common possible mechanical faults and ensuring the safety of the vehicle.

Requirements

You must have driving experience for at least 3 years or even more. Having a driving license, passing occupational trade test II and attending defensive driving certificate is necessary.

7. Human Resource Management Officer I

You will be confirming information submitted by prospective applicants for vacancies in the commission. Getting ready training projections and taking care of staff leave, medical and other welfare issues will be under your jurisdiction.

Having a degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration of any social science related course is necessary.

8. Principal Administration Officer

Overseeing the usage of fuel, provision of general office administrative services as well as maintain the commission’s asset register.

9. Principal Accountant
