Overview of the Internship Program

Save the Children internship is focused on granting experiential experience to youths. Through the internship program, young professionals will gain capacity on programming for children while helping the NGO achieve set goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. PDQ Intern (Nairobi)

The occupant of this position will work with existing team under the supervision of the Director of Programme Development and Quality to plan, coordinate research processes and information management.

2. T4D Intern (Nairobi)

As the Technology for Development (T4D) specialist, you will be providing timely and qualitative IT technical support to staff members.

3. Advocacy Intern (Nairobi)

As advocacy intern, your duty will be to orchestrate research, develop and render general administrative support to advocacy team.

4. Supply Chain Intern

The person occupying this position shall be assisting logistics team with warehouse management as well as processing request for supply of goods and services.

5. Safety & Security Intern

Intern office shall be providing coordination support regarding safety and Security under the supervision of the Operations Coordinator.

6. IT Intern (Nairobi)

Holder of this post shall offer support to Area Offices using IT innovations and technical support from Nairobi and as need be visit the Field office.

Save the Children Internship Duration

Officially, the internship duration is three (3) months and may likely be extended for another three (3) months depending on candidates performance.

• Intern candidate is expected to stay motivated while participating in the learning experience.
• Participating in orientation programs in compliance with the terms and conditions of the internship agreement is mandatory.
• A detail report shall be required at the end of assigned tasks which must incorporate learning experience and achievements.

Requirements for Save the Children Internship 2024

To qualify for these intern opportunities, here are the criteria which you must meet.

• Applicant must be citizen of Kenya with acceptable means of identification like National ID or Passport.
• Applicant must have graduated from an institution with national and international recognition.
• Interested candidates who are still pursuing their degree program can still apply.
• Recommendation letter from your university department is mandatory.
• Applicant must not currently be employed elsewhere.
• Candidates applying for the finance intern must gain professional training and certification such as CPA/ACCA
• Applicant must possess excellent communication skill.
• Should possess strong networking ability.
• Be self-confidence, possess positive attitude and upload highest ethical standards.
