Candidates applying for the recruitment must possess an LLM or a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB), (B.L.) from any recognized University and be qualified to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in Nigeria.
Individually, candidates applying for the Senior State Counsel, GL. 10 position must be an holder of LLM or LLB, BL with 3 years’ post-call to Bar cognate experience.
For the State Counsel, GL. 09, he or she must be in possession of LLB, BL Degree in Law. Adding to that, both positions require persons who are citizens of Nigeria, possessing a means of identification.
How to Apply
Candidates who have met the required qualifications can access the application form on “FCSC” website via “fedcivilservice.gov.ng” (although at the time of the announcement, the form is yet to be out).
In the case of not being able to find the application form on the portal, you are to get the form from any Chairmen of the States Civil Service Commissions in the following Geo-political Zones;
- North-West (Kaduna)
- North-East (Yola)
- North-Central & Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mabushi (Abuja)
- South-East (Owerri)
- South-South (Port Harcourt)
- South-West (Ibadan)
Moreover, completed application forms must be submitted where collected in a sealed envelope clearly stating the Ministry, the post applied for and addressed to the:

- Federal Civil Service Commission,
- 4 Abidjan Street, Wuse Zone 3,
- Abuja, FCT, Nigeria.
