Requirements, Experience and Qualification

The hospital expects that candidates applying for any of these roles should meet the requirements stated below.

1. Medical Specialist II (Obstetric & Gynae)

Candidates applying for this role must have a Master and Bachelor degree in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or other equitable qualification but must be recognized by Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council. He or she must also have a registration certificate and valid practicing license issued by KMPDC.

2. Medical Specialist II (Radiology)  

This post require you have a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Radiography or Medicine and Surgery.

The institution you graduated from must be approved and recognized by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.

You should possess recognition certificate in Diagnostic Radiology by KMPDC. A valid license must have also issued.

3. Medical Specialist II (Paediatric Surgery)

    You need to have a Master’s in Paediatric Surgery and first degree in Medicine and Surgery from a recognized university. You should as well possess a recognition certificate in Paediatric Surgery from KMPDC.

    If you meet the requirements specified, the next thing to do is download and fill the application form which is accessible at the Kenyatta National Hospital Official website. Candidates are to attach their CV, academic and professional certifications to the application form and submit to the Chief Executive Officer of the hospital.

    KNH Recruitment Deadline for Submission

    In all you do, ensure application gets to the hospital on or before 18th March, 2024 by 5:00pm latest. Submissions after this date shall be considered as invalid.

    The recruitment process is free therefore the hospital does not charge applicant any fees. Shortlisted candidates shall be contacted in due course. During application ensure you specify if it’s the main hospital, Mwai Kibaki or Mama Margaret Uburu hospital.

    Clearance certificates as specified in chapter six (6) of the constitution shall be required from all shortlisted candidates during screening. Trying to outsmart the form will lead to disqualification.
