KWS Announce Recruitment for 1,500 Positions

The management of Kenya Wildlife Service, KWS announce recruitment for 1,500 positions and hereby invites application from suitably qualified candidates.

The Kenya Wildlife Service was founded as a State Corporation through the Act of Parliament with the primary focus of managing wildlife resources in Kenya in other to make the best out of it.

The open positions as announced by Kenya Wildlife Service are for Assistant Warden, Cadets and Rangers. There are about 100 posts for cadet’s i.e. Assistant Warden I and 900 posts for ranger which then sums up for the 1,500 positions.

Candidates interested in KWS recruitment must meet the requirements stated, understand their job description and submit application on or before the set deadline.


KWS recruitment requirements states that interested candidates must have a recognized means of identification e.g. is National ID or International passport.

Applicants must be within the age bracket of 18 and 26 years with no physical or medical challenge.

Having a criminal free record, possess at least mean grade D in Kenya Certificate for Secondary Education (KCSE) is an added advantage.

How to Apply

Applications are to be made via the online recruitment portal being the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) official website.

KWS recruitment exercise will hold from April 15 to April 19, 2024. Candidates are to report at diverse recruitment centers within the specified date.

The management has made it clear that the recruitment exercise is free of monetary charge. Candidates are to present the original of all their academic credentials clarification and presentation of false documents will lead to prosecution.

Persons with disability, women and marginalized persons can apply as everything will be done in a transparent manner.
