Requirements and Qualifications Needed

  • Applicants must be a Kenyan citizens with valid National Identity Card or Passport.
  • Possessing at least minimum grade of C+ in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) is compulsory.
  • He or she must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Social Science or equivalent qualification from an approved institution.
  • Candidates applying must be a member of relevant professional body or association.
  • Applicants of Chief Executive Officer or Secretary of revenue board must be a member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) in good standing.
  • Related work experience of at least ten (10) years is an added advantage.
  • Applicant must fulfil the requirements of chapter 6 of the constitution.

Competencies and Skills Needed

Analytical skills, professional communication skills, literacy in computer operations, good interpersonal skills, knowledge of short and long term budgeting, forecasting, rolling budgets and profitability analysis. Applicant must possess the ability to interpret policies, procedures and data.
